VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

OPEN POSITIONS

SECRETARY (EXECUTIVE BOARD)
JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Attend all Board meetings and work MPW events.

  • Record meeting minutes for permanent record and distribution to all Board Members. 

  • Custodian of the association bylaws, policies and procedures and have a copy of both available at all meetings.

  • Read previous meeting minutes at each meeting. 

  • Keep an accurate list of all members, including telephone numbers and email addresses.

  • Handle correspondence for the association. 

TREASURER (EXECUTIVE BOARD) 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Attend all Board meetings and work MPW events.

  • Maintain Association financial records.

  • Prepare checks as directed by the President. 

  • Coordinate receipt and deposit of funds for all Association events and activities.

  • Give a written financial report at each meeting. 

  • Access the post office box and be responsible for bringing forth any and all correspondence before the board. 

FOOTBALL BUSINESS MANAGER (EXECUTIVE BOARD)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Attend all Board meetings and work MPW events.

  • Point person for collection of all necessary documentation to prepare the football  books for certification.

  • Assign tasks to individual representatives as needed to ensure proper and timely preparation of documentation.

  • Train all necessary personnel from both football and cheer teams on how to organize and maintain team books for presentation at Book Check/ Team Certification. 

  • Attend all League business manager training and required meetings and report to the board. 

  • Provide team parent and head coach training regarding minimum play requirements (MPR’s), turning in MPR’s, calling in scores on game day and any other issues related to business manager duties and responsibilities, as determined by the board. 

  • Ensure all MPR’s and team scores are collected and called in or texted to the President on game day. 

FOOTBALL COORDINATOR

​JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Attend all Board meetings and work MPW events. 

  • Provide communication to and from all football coaches and the board.

  • Address all parental concerns/issues and report to the board. 

  • Facilitate football coaches training as needed/required. 

  • Work closely with the President and Business Manager to ensure that all first aid/CPR and background check requirements are met. 

  • Schedule and facilitate all head football coach meetings.

FLAG FOOTBALL COORDINATOR

​JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Attend all Board meetings and work MPW events. 

  • Provide communication to and from all flag football coaches and the board.

  • Address all parental concerns/issues and report to the board. 

  • Facilitate football coaches training as needed/required. 

  • Work closely with the President and Business Manager to ensure that all first aid/CPR and background check requirements are met. 

  • Schedule and facilitate all head flag football coach meetings.

​SOCIAL MEDIA/MARKETING MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Attend all Board meetings and work MPW events.

  • Coordinate the design, management and maintenance of the MPW association’s website and any other approved forms of social media as required and/or directed by the board. 

  • Ensure the website and Facebook page are updated and kept current as needed.

FUNDRAISING COORDINATOR 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Attend all Board meetings and work MPW events.

  • Run CharityMania Fundraiser and any other seasonal fundraiser. 

  • Coordinate all fundraising efforts for teams and the league, ensuring that all fundraising ideas/concepts are brought before the board for approval prior to implementation. 

  • Implement, with help from the Board’s treasurer, financial control methods associated with the distribution and retention of major association fundraising efforts including but not limited to, raffles, silent auctions, golf outings, spirit wear, etc. 

  • Report efforts to the board on a routine basis, as determined by the board. 

 

 

​SPONSORSHIP COORDINATOR

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Attend all Board meetings and work MPW events.

  • Solicit in person, by letter, or electronic means, new and returning sponsorships for the league, including telephone, email and/or letter follow-up. 

  • Draft letters to local, county and regional businesses and corporations. 

  • Achieve or exceed annual, budgeted financial Sponsorship goals of the association. 

  • Encourage all football and cheer teams to solicit and obtain team sponsorships. 

  • Report efforts to the board on a routine basis, as determined by the board. 

 

 

TEAM PARENT COORDINATOR

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Attend all Board meetings and work MPW events.

  • Organize and provide consistent, required training and duties to team parents for both football and cheer prior to the start of the season, including but not limited to, their responsibilities as determined by the board and the team head coach. 

  • Help set up picture day with photographers and teams and is in charge of distributing pictures to each team. 

  • Help set up a volunteer schedule (working gate, concessions, chains etc) for parents to get their required volunteer hours. 

 

 

CONCESSIONS COORDINATOR

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Attend all Board meetings and work MPW events.

  • Responsible for budgeting, procurement and retail pricing of all concession goods at MPW home games. 

  • Responsible for the organization and scheduling, in conjunction with Team Parent Coordinator, for all concession stand activities during MPW home games.
